Harold Gene Knight, 78, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2010. Memorial service: 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Harold was born Nov. 29, 1931, in Dallas to Harold Darby and May Filiere Knight. Harold met the love of his life, Marian Heywood, at NTSU and they were married for 58 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War. Harold then went on to work for IBM and retired after 28 years of service. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jessie Lee Walters Jr. Survivors: Wife, Marian Knight; son, James Elliott Knight and wife, Chris; daughter, Leslie Margaret Holmes and husband, Rodney; granddaughter, Kellie Denise Knight; grandsons, Sean Michael Knight, Nathan Robert and Jeremy Joseph Holmes; and sister, Norma Thacker.
